1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using HesApp ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and conditions outlined here.

2. Description of Service

HesApp is a receipt processing and bill-splitting service that uses AI to extract information from receipt images and facilitates bill sharing among users.

3. Privacy and Data Usage

• Receipt images you upload are processed by AI to read the items and prices. We first use an AI model running on our own servers; if it is unavailable or cannot read the receipt, the image is sent to the Google Gemini API, an AI service provided by Google, and Google's Gemini API terms apply to that processing.
• Extracted data is stored only for the purpose of sharing bill splits.
• We use cookies to improve user experience.
• We do not sell your data, and apart from the Google Gemini processing described above we do not share it with third parties.

4. User Responsibilities

• You agree to upload only receipt images you have permission to use.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of any manual adjustments to the bill split.
• You agree not to misuse the Service or attempt to access it through unauthorized means.

5. Limitations of Liability

• The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
• We are not responsible for any errors in the AI extraction process.
• Users should verify the extracted information for accuracy.
• We are not responsible for any disputes arising from bill splitting among users.

6. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
